St Paul’s Cathederal (1940s)
St. Paul’s Cathedral, an iconic church in London dedicated to St. Paul the Apostle, has stood for over 1300 years on Ludgate Hill. It is the third church on this site, following two predecessors that were destroyed by fire. The current structure, designed by Sir Christopher Wren, began construction in 1675 and took 35 years to complete. The cathedral features a famous dome, intricate architectural details, and a stunning interior, including the Whispering Gallery and the beautiful choir area. Despite its grandeur, the cathedral can be hard to spot amidst the modern cityscape.
