In the 1960s, a boy peered through binoculars at night and beheld the moon’s surface. A lively reception took place at a high school where students were served refreshments and cookies. The students, dressed formally, mingled, applauded, and dined, with a young man in a white suit taking a significant role. Outside, taxis drove up, and the scene shifted to showcase nature’s beauty with mountains, skies, and the Devils Postpile National Monument. The coast played a backdrop to a mother and her children, boats on the water, and a lighthouse. Unique moments include a sailor’s gestures, a stone mansion, and a person engrossed in a historical book. The Boston Theatre prominently advertised Shakespeare plays, with actors in historical costumes making appearances. In a study, a man engaged in a conversation with his son, who then departs with a suitcase.
