In the 1960s, a vivid storybook comes to life, showcasing an illustrated alligator biting an elephant’s trunk. The tale unfolds on a table as pages turn, revealing vibrant illustrations. Concurrently, a young boy, engrossed in his literary world, carries books to a chair, turns on a lamp, and delves into various readings, including a history book. He even reads on a city bus and outside a library while enjoying an apple. The narrative also captures moments where a boy and a girl, surrounded by expansive bookshelves, immerse themselves in their books. In an unexpected twist, a boy in a red sweater simulates walking, contrasting with his peers who dash by. This walking simulation becomes more surreal as both the boy and a girl, wearing matching red sweaters, walk on stage treadmills, surrounded by the eerie ambiance of a dimly lit stage. The story also captures a girl engrossed in a science textbook, hinting at the diverse literary interests of the youth.
