Light Illumination And Its Measurement (1961)

Shows the various sources of light-incandescent, sodium vapor, mercury vapor, and fluorescent–and how they measure illumination. Uses demonstrations and equations to show how luminous intensity, luminous flux, and the amount of illumination are measured. Explains the inverse square law. Employs a knowledge of geometry and trigonometry to measure illumination of tilted surfaces.
