El Perico (Spanish, 1966)
In “El Perico,” Uncle Julio visits the Romero family, consisting of Miguel, Teresa, and their parents. Miguel is studying, while Teresa plays the piano. Uncle Julio brings a beautiful parakeet named Pedrito, which quickly becomes a beloved part of the family. One day, Pedrito escapes through an open window while the family is busy. The family searches for Pedrito but cannot find him. They later attend a circus, where they hope to find their lost pet. The story revolves around family bonds, the joy of companionship, and the adventure of searching for Pedrito.
