Case Study: LSD (1969)

The narrator recounts their first experience with LSD at age 18. Initially skeptical, they begin to hallucinate after taking the drug. During a trip to Market Street, they see a talking hot dog that pleads for its life, claiming to have a family. Despite their friend’s disbelief, the narrator engages in a conversation with the hot dog until they decide to bite it, causing it to scream. In a panic, they end up stomping on the hot dog, feeling guilty for “murdering” it, and run away in fear.
