Airplanes: Principles Of Flight (1960)
Animation and actual in-flight photography demonstrate the aerodynamic principles of flight. Explains that the principles which govern movement of a fixed wing through air also apply to the rotary wing of helicopters and air craft propellers. Describes the four forces which control flight–lift, thrust, gravity, and drag–in terms of their relationship to the control of all aircraft that fly through the earth’s atmosphere.
