The Very Idea (1954)
About a couple, Jane and George, who live in a house built by George’s Uncle Henry. While Jane appreciates the sentimental value of the old house and its furnishings, she becomes frustrated with the outdated kitchen and bathroom. After a series of discussions about renovations, Jane decides to take action and consults a plumber, Ben Crawford, for modern ideas. With Ben’s expertise, they successfully remodel their kitchen and bathroom, transforming them into functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces while navigating the sentimental attachments to Uncle Henry’s handiwork.
