The Necklace (1982)
The story revolves around Matilde, a beautiful woman born into a modest family, who marries a petty clerk but yearns for a life of luxury. After borrowing a diamond necklace from her wealthy friend for a gala, she loses it and, in an attempt to replace it, plunges herself and her husband into debt for ten years.
