The Climates Of North America (1963)

Describes how the various patterns of climate are controlled by great air masses. Illustrates and discusses the several different climatic regions. Explains that northern and eastern climates are controlled more by differences in temperature whereas climates in the far west and southwest are influenced more by differences in moisture. Points out that on any given day one can find a wide variety of weather on the North American continent from warm to cold and from wet to dry.
