Singing Wires (ca. 1951)
The film “Singing Wires” tells the story of Bob, a young farmer who is inspired by the modern farming methods of his neighbor, Judy. Bob realizes the struggles of farm life without electricity and dreams of a more efficient, electrified farm. With the help of his friend Joe and a secondhand motor, he convinces his father to invest in electric systems for water and milking, which ultimately transforms their farm and home life. The introduction of electricity brings ease and happiness to their daily routines, allowing Bob and Judy to enjoy more time together.
