Lunar Mars Exploration (1990)

This 10-minute video collage begins with photos from Apollo 17’s mission to the moon. The voice of astronaut Eugene Cernan is heard saying “we leave as we came and god willing we shall return”.
Next an except from President H.W. Bush’s speech about the plans for the future of manned exploration and permanent settlement in space: “Back to to the moon, back to the future, and this time to stay” he intones. He adds that a manned mission to Mars will come next. The video continues silently with animations of what a manned station on the moon might look like.
