Lord Will Provide, The (silent, 1920s)
The Lord Will Provide is a silent religious film that tells the story of a struggling mother and son who have very little. When the son goes out to get some liquid (possibly water or milk), he is accidentally knocked over by a beggar. The beggar apologizes and explains he has no money to replace the lost liquid. That night, as they all sleep, the mother dreams of the biblical Widow of Zarephath, reinforcing the theme that faith and divine provision will sustain them.
