Life And Death In A Pond (1981)

Emphasizes the links that bind all organisms together in a pond ecosystem, showing how all are an integral part of the continuing cycle of life and death among the pond’s inhabitants. Records how, beneath the calm and tranquil waters of the pond, living things struggle to survive. Observes as eggs are fertilized, then undergo development into many-celled creatures that break out of confinement and enter the hazardous life of the pond to eat and be eaten, reproduce, and die. Includes frogs and toads, newts and diving beetles, and damselfy and dragonfly nymphs.
