Leap From The Water Tower
Silent Film. Episodes from the adventures of a railroad telegraph officer. The Hazards of Helen series was produced by Kalem Films between 1914 and 1917 consisting of 119 single reeled episodes. The first 50 or so episodes were produced, directed and occasionally starred SA born J.P McGowan, whose wife Helen Holmes also starred. Episode 9 was first released Jan 9 , 1915, and this Blackhawk Films reprint also includes introductory text on the background of the film with particular interest to railroad enthusiasts. It was filmed on location in Cajon Pass, California. Producer J.P McGowan also stars as the ‘villain’.
