Kolb and the Canyon (1980s?)
This film recounts the adventures of the Kolb brothers, Ellsworth and Emory, who explored and documented the Grand Canyon in the early 20th century. After leaving their jobs, they established a photography studio and became pioneers in capturing the canyon’s beauty. They undertook significant river expeditions, creating motion pictures and interpretive programs that popularized the Grand Canyon before it became a National Park. Despite personal challenges and a rift between the brothers, Emory continued to innovate and share his passion for the canyon until his death at 95.
