Describes the process of making plastics and how they are derived from different raw materials like natural elements, growing things, oil, coal and limestone. Chemists mix these materials to create different chemicals, which when combined in the right way, form plastics. Also explains how the process of heating and molding the resin can create different kinds of plastics, such as thermosetting plastics which cannot be remolded once set. The film also mentions that fillers, such as chopped rags, walnuts shells, etc. can be mixed with the resin to make the product stronger.
