It Cant Last (1944)
In an effort to push citizens to purchase more War Bonds in spite of WWII winding down, this film was written for the United States Navy by the distinguished Librarian of Congress and Pulitzer Prize poet, Archibald MacLeish. It shows the efforts of the troops in contrast to a civilian’s idea that the war can’t last much longer.
