How Billy Keeps Clean (1951)

Billy is a typical dirty child at school, but once he returns home, he becomes an overly clean child who washes everything. The film emphasizes the importance of hygiene and portrays germs as large, adhesive X’s that are spread from one child to another during a touch football game. At the end of the film, Billy is ready to play outside, but his friend Jerry is forced to stay inside due to illness. The narrator states that Jerry got sick because he “didn’t wash.”
