Hare and the Tortoise, The (1947)
In the story of “The Hare and the Tortoise,” a boastful hare challenges a slow-moving tortoise to a race. Confident of winning, the hare speeds ahead and decides to take a nap, believing he has plenty of time. Meanwhile, the tortoise continues steadily and eventually passes the sleeping hare. When the hare wakes up, he rushes to the finish line but is too late; the tortoise has already won. The moral of the story is that slow and steady wins the race, teaching the lesson that overconfidence can lead to failure.
