Fish That Nearly Drowned
A whimsical and educational story told from the perspective of a talking fish named Sylveris, who lives in a diverse aquarium. The film follows Cochril, a special fighting fish from Asia who breathes air and builds bubble nests to care for his eggs. After raising his young, Cochril returns to the community tank, only to encounter another fighting fish, leading to a territorial conflict. The heart of the story occurs when Cochril becomes trapped under a glass pane in the tank and is unable to reach the surface for air. As fish like Cochril depend on atmospheric oxygen, he nearly suffocates—until David, the aquarium caretaker, returns just in time to save him. The film creatively highlights unique adaptations of air-breathing fish and reinforces the importance of understanding animal needs in captivity.
