Fire Ant On Trial (1959)
Tells the story of the imported fire ant through photomicrography and animation. Shows how, in its constant search for food and shelter, it interferes with the operation of farm machinery and construction jobs and menaces workers in the field and children at play. Visualizes underground honeycomb of chambers inside an ant colony, where ants lay eggs and develop into larvae and pupae. Also reveals four major adult forms of the insect.
