Dreams Men Died For (Reel1)

In 1922 the first efforts were made to tame the Arctic with aircraft. Robert Edwin Perry, Roald Amundsen, and Lincoln Ellsworth are among the pioneers who attempted to reach the North and South Poles. They battled sub-zero temperatures, biting winds, and treacherous ice. Amundsen and Ellsworth attempted to fly to the Pole, while Perry attempted to reach it by ship. In the end, Amundson was the first to reach the South Pole and Ellsworth and Perry were the first to reach the North Pole. Despite their various challenges, the explorers demonstrated their courage, stamina, and dedication to their cause.
