Caucasian Barrier (1947)
This film follows the everyday life of people in the Caucasus mountains of Europe in the 1940s. It shows a shepherd walking with his sheep, a village of Echmiadzin, a blacksmith working on an ox, a monastery and icons in a church, an old building on a hilltop, carvings on a stone wall, a market, a Georgian military highway, watchtowers in the mountains, families welcoming visitors, people in hand-woven clothing, children in embroidered clothes, and men fighting with swords and shields. The film ends with a view of the mountains and valley with clouds in the sky.
