Hi Skip,
Did some checking into “All Kinds of People.” George A. Zabriskie produced dozens of films, a Princeton grad (https://paw.princeton.edu/memorial/george-albert-zabriskie-%E2%80%9948) and was a big-time member of the NY Historical Society. Interestingly, he also brought the empanada to American cuisine, as you can see here (https://www.amazon.com/Empanadas-Other-International-Turnovers-Low-Salt/dp/0517547562), he and his second wife Sherry (credited at the end of the film) wrote a cookbook on international turnovers in 1984.
WIth his first wife, Virginia, he established the Zabriskie Galleries (https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Zabriskie_Gallery) as well.
That’s great to know. Wow, he really brought the empanada to the US?
