Apollo 12: Pinpoint For Science (1969)

The film summarizes the Apollo 12 mission, the second manned landing on the Moon. The mission targeted the Surveyor 3 landing site, which had been visited by an unmanned spacecraft 31 months earlier. Despite being struck by lightning during launch, the mission was successful, with the lunar module landing within 600 feet of the Surveyor 3 spacecraft. The astronauts conducted two extravehicular activities, deploying scientific experiments and collecting samples, including from the Surveyor 3 site. The mission achieved its goals, including a precise landing, and the lunar module was intentionally crashed into the Moon to calibrate the seismometer left on the surface.
