How Animals Live In Winter (1956)

In winter, Penny and her brother Chris explore how animals survive the cold season. They learn about birds that migrate to warmer areas and those that stay, like the ones they feed. They discover various animals, including a snowshoe rabbit that changes color for camouflage, a raccoon that hibernates, and a badger and skunk that remain active in search of food. They eventually find Bucky the deer, who adapts to winter by eating tree buds and grass despite the challenges of finding food. The film illustrates the different strategies animals use to stay warm and fed during winter.
