This film tells the story of Lois, a teenager who feels stifled by her parents’ strict rules and desires more freedom, often looking to her friend Maxine as an example of a more liberated lifestyle. Lois’s parents, in contrast, are concerned about her exposure to negative influences and emphasize the importance of a Christian upbringing. When Maxine gets into serious trouble after a party, the incident prompts Lois to re-evaluate her own choices and her parents’ guidance, ultimately leading the Gardner family to embrace a stronger foundation in their Christian faith.
