This film follows Captain Wordwise and his National Word Watchers Expedition down the “river of compound words.” To survive treacherous rapids and escape the giant “Big Word,” the team must identify and collect as many compound words as possible. They learn that compound words are formed by joining two or more shorter words, each with its own meaning, to create a new word with a distinct meaning. Throughout their journey, the expedition members successfully spot numerous compound words related to their surroundings, supplies, and activities, which ultimately helps them navigate the dangerous river and evade capture.
