Pauahi Crater, located in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, is a significant volcanic feature measuring 2,000 feet long, 1,300 feet wide, and 300 feet deep. It is situated approximately 3 miles from the Chain of Craters Road on the Big Island of Hawaii. The crater has experienced three notable eruptions: the first in May 1973, followed by a longer eruption from November 10 to December 9, 1973, which produced extensive fissures, and a brief eruption on November 16, 1979 of which this footage documents.
