The Draggin’ Wagon (1963)

The film follows Clarence Carter Jr., a young boy in Washington D.C. who builds a soapbox racing car to compete in the local derby. With a limited budget, he carefully selects materials and faces challenges in the construction process, including issues with the steering mechanism. Despite his hard work and improvements from last year, he ultimately finishes in third place during the race. Although disappointed, he remains optimistic about future competitions and plans to refine his design and driving skills for next year.
