Lightning and Thunder Case (1981)
In “Classroom Lightning and Thunder Case,” a notorious gang known as the Lightning and Thunder Gang terrorizes Prairie City, prompting the townsfolk to form a posse to capture them. The posse, however, is misguided and unaware of the true nature of lightning and thunder. Local scientist Mortimer Einstein intervenes, explaining the science behind electrical storms and how to stay safe. He clarifies that lightning is a natural phenomenon that can be understood and respected rather than feared. Ultimately, the townspeople learn to appreciate lightning and thunder for their natural roles, leading to a celebratory display of nature’s power.
