Radioisotopes in Medicine (1958)

This film follows the production of radioisotopes from the Oak Ridge reactor and Abbott Radiopharmaceutical plant, to their packaging and shipment, to their use in hospitals by doctors. It also highlights the development of capsules which contain the radioisotopes, as well as the use of robotic counters to accurately assay each capsule. This film showcases the development of radioisotopes and their use in modern medicine, demonstrating how they are produced and used to diagnose and treat many medical conditions.
