Magic Moments

Description

In the late 1960s/early 1970s, Encyclopedia Britannica Films shed their stodgy school film format and went a little wild. These short films, part of the Magic Moments series, are designed to provoke discussion for young school children. Most lack dialogue, have crazy camera movement and little to no narrative structure. Kids still love the films – adults not so much! “What is that supposed to teach me!?” they often ask when we show a film from the series.

This DVD features 19 films from the series: Getting Along, Guessing Game, Holding On, Bang!, Clap!, Follow Me, Magic Hands, Choosing Up, Join Hands Let’s Go, Matching Up, Fantasy of Feet, Hands Grow Up, Lopsideland, Me Too, What If?, What’s Happening?, Whose Shoes?, Magic Sneakers, Toes Tell and Getting Even.
