Golden Deer, The (1974)
After an Indian princess dreams of a singing golden deer, her father, the king, issues a proclamation offering a reward to anyone who can find the elusive creature. A young boy, seeking adventure and guided by his grandfather’s stories, sets out on a perilous journey across seven mountains to locate it. Upon finding the deer in a forest by a lake, the boy realizes the animal’s fear of hunters and decides to show kindness rather than capture it. Moved by the boy’s empathy, the deer offers him a tuft of golden hair as a gift; when the boy presents this to the palace, it emanates the deer’s magical, beautiful song, bringing joy and happiness to the entire kingdom.
